The Victoria Springs Community was built by Winchester Homes and Murphy Brothers Contractors during 1993-1995, on the site of the original Martin's Dairy, a famous Washington area landmark known for its fresh ice cream among its other dairy processing business. At the edge of Victoria Springs, is the old Higgins Tavern, which dates from 1823 and is listed among Maryland's Historic sites.
